August - Prayer Letter

As always, God has been so good to us over the last couple of months and we have so much to be thankful for. I’ll keep this as short as possible but I don’t want to have to leave anything out! May the good Lord receive all the honor and all the glory for all He has done for us!

Once again we’ve been busy flying teams over to the Bahamas to preach and visit in hopes of seeing the work that’s going on there to make a decision about supporting that effort. Each time we go we have been preaching in the churches and are currently scheduling more preaching events there for God’s glory!

For the second year in a row we were asked to be a part of SWAN AVIATION’s camp in Crestview, Florida. I was able to fly kids there and take part in the events of camp. I took one of our recent graduates of the flight training program and allowed him to fly me there. It was a great experience for him as well!
I was also blessed to fly Bro Jason Koontz, Pastor of Westside Baptist Church in Lexington, to our camp for Open Door, which was held near Shelby, NC. Our ministry was created for this exact purpose. (Flying men of God to ease their burden). Pastor Jason had to work in between nightly sessions, in which he preached, at camp and was able to do just that because of the Lord’s provisions for Emission-Air.
Just one more blessing! We were blessed with the funds to purchase 2 more tires for the delivery truck. Talk about perfect timing, when I went to get the tires put on I blew one on the way! Thank the good Lord, it was on the inside and I was able to proceed on to the shop for replacement.
This is our response to the Kentucky floods. When something like this happens in America, people really unite to help each other. God POURED out the blessings upon us to be able to go up and help. We delivered a truckload of supplies from many different ministries and churches as well as individuals and businesses. We were also blessed to partner with Hearts with Hands as well as Operation Renewed Hope to deliver food, yard tools, cleaning tools and supplies and bibles. Pastor Mike Garner from Emmanuel Baptist Church was a huge blessing, riding along and helping to load and unload. He was instrumental in some spiritual council and continues to stay in touch with the folks up there. We plan more trips when the time is right and the needs there change.
My youngest daughter Addy and her significant other, Tanner were blessed to be able to attend CT Townsend’s “Arise” conference with Westside Baptist’s youth group.

Each year we choose a location to celebrate Christmas with. We try to choose a place where we have done disaster relief throughout the year. We want to show up with these simple Christmas shoeboxes to say, “We haven’t forgotten”. You send me the number of boxes your church or family wants to fill and we’ll order the boxes. After we get those to you, you fill them using our list as a guide and we’ll work together to get them back to us. After receiving all the boxes we’ll deliver them to Kentucky Tornado AND flood victims this year! We have grown from 250 boxes the first year to 500 the second year. We would like to do 1000 this year! Let me know as soon as possible how many boxes you need. The deadline is Sept.11th.

The pictures above are from Houma, Louisiana where we delivered the boxes to hurricane victims last year. This was an amazing time.

“The shoeboxes were a HUGE blessing to our church and community! They lifted spirits and brightened days, but also helped families who lost so much have something for their children and grandchildren. The kids in church still talk about it!”- (Pastor Richard & Stephanie Way, Houma Louisiana)

Pray for our 2nd annual BBQ fundraiser, hosted by Bro. Jaime Murphy, Founder of Proactive Parenting Initiative. This was an amazing event last year and truly blessed our ministry with support.
Our ministry has really moved to the “Next level”. Our Caribbean deliveries have turned to evangelism, we have a domestic disaster relief program with this truck and trailer, our flight school is growing leaps and bounds and is expanding and we are finally starting to build a team of folks to help. We need prayer against our spiritual battles. As always we are looking for referrals to churches to be able to share our ministry. Finally we need prayer for support for all the Lord is allowing us to do. That means you! Please prayerfully consider either a one time donation or monthly support of any amount. We haven’t budged on our aircraft inspection debt. Thats our greatest need as of now. Thank you for the prayers and friendships.
