November - Prayer Letter

We are so thankful for this year in ministry, which has honestly been our toughest of 11 years, yet the most rewarding. It’s a blessing to report that the pain came from growing! God is preparing this ministry for many years to come and I’m just holding on, to what I feel like is coming in the next few years!

Our fundraisers went great and were “blessed” with the funds that we raised. At the silent auction I was able to share the gospel and at the yardsale I was able to invite people to church. Each event was a blessing and we are so grateful for those who volunteered their time to help us raise funds.

We sure didn’t see this coming! In October my ministry/personal vehicle blew the engine. I use this vehicle to pull the ministry trailer when the job is too small to justify taking our big truck. We raised the money to get the motor which is being installed but are still raising the 2000.00 for the labor. God has taken care of us, none the less. We were fortunate to still have Addy’s car available since she doesn’t get her license till January. We are still faithfully moving forward and the car is at the shop having the motor installed.

I have had many opportunities to preach in several different churches! God has been good to me. I’ve also assisted in coordinating a men’s conference and teaching adult Sunday School again in our home church, while I’m available.

We have been blessed with donations of goods for Florida Relief. We went down after the hurricane and served with Hearts with Hands and did flights back and forth from NC to Naples. We also delivered some goods and food that we took up to Hearts with Hands to be processed and delivered, in their trucks, to Florida along with their goods. We have since taken up another half load, which will be taken down in our delivery truck, with the Christmas shoeboxes. It’s always a blessing when I can invite my great friend Damon Whitlow along. We’ve flown nearly 200 hours together for God’s glory. It was also a blessing to use the twin engine aircraft again for these flights. It’s amazing that it’s already doing mission flights.

It’s hard to believe it’s been a year already and that this is already our 3rd year doing our shoebox program. We started 3 years ago with 200 boxes for the Bahamas. Last year we packed 500 for Louisiana. This year we ordered 1400 boxes and they are ALL being packed…Every last one! As you know each year we choose a place that we responded to, earlier that year, to give the boxes to. This year we’re doing 2!! We’ll take approximately 3-400 boxes to Kentucky, where we responded to the tornadoes and floods, and the remaining boxes will go to Florida hurricane victims! As you know the truck is expensive to operate and I’m so blessed to report that the delivery expenses have BEEN COVERED! God is good!! Thanks to all who participated.
“AND HERE WE GO AGAIN!”
Damon and myself teamed up to go to Freeport, Bahamas to continue work on the remodel of the mission house there. We visited friends, shopped for materials and framed 2 bedrooms, closets, a laundry room and a bathroom. We then loaded up the plane with some of the Whitlow’s personal belongings and brought them back to the states.
Though we didnt need them at this time, a ministry in Ohio, donated a windshield and back window to our ministry, for the Cessna 210 that we operate. It’s nice to know that we have that cost covered when that time comes. On the way back we lost power to our alternator. The cost for the part will be $1000.00. We had JUST corrected the fuel leak that kept that plane down for several months. We hope to get it back up quickly. The twin engine is down for some TLC and I found several issues with it including cracked exhaust that I had welded. We were blessed to be able to cover the cost of the heater part before we flew last, providing heat during the Florida/NC flights. I also flew it to Pigeon Forge for a mission conference I was invited to there. Please pray for the alternator cost to be covered.
Finally, we have had a safety audit done on our truck program and we have a few things that are required to be added/fixed. We also have a leaking heater core on the truck and the air needs serviced. The repairs are less than $1000.00 but none the less need to be fixed before delivering the shoeboxes to Kentucky then to Florida.
Emission Air has grown unbelievably in 2022′. We continue to ask for more support because we continue to be able to do more and more for God’s glory AND be effective! We’ve had the most opportunities to preach the gospel and take part in different church functions throughout the US AND the Bahamas this year than we ever have. Next year we hope to be able to start VBS’s throughout the islands and continue to preach in evangelical outdoor events as far as Jamaica and Dominica! We have the invites but we will need thousands of dollars. BE PRAYING! If God called he’ll provide and we’ll sit still in that area until he does. We will be traveling to the southeast and as far West as Texas doing more deputation next year. Pray for God’s provisions for that. We already have several churches scheduled and have spoken to others that will be giving us dates. Pray for our vehicle situation! We’ve had so much trouble with SUV’s that we will be selling ours as soon as its fixed and replacing it with a pickup truck. We are very specifically praying for an F150, which can also be flat towed behind the camper, for deputation and other preaching events, yet can pull a trailer. Praise the Lord for helping my mom. Her back has been improved from her not being able to get out of bed, to her being able to walk up and down hills on her property. We’re proud of both of our girls which have been working so hard at their jobs and still being faithful to church. Shana is still working tirelessly, at her job and is having to have an MRI done on her right elbow from overuse while typing. She and myself have already began thinking about the day she’s able to retire and where our lives will go from there. (That’s still at least 10 yrs lol) Again thanks for all your prayers and support and Thank the Lord for the churches that have taken us on, for support, this year, even through an uncertain economy. We love you and thank God for each of you!
